6ème Sens Immobilier supports various projects in the healthcare, sports and culture areas. An activity initiated by Nicolas Gagneux, President, that reflects the human values of this family group.Focus on these various commitments.

Over the past 20 years, 6ème Sens Immobilier has developed a solid and independent group which has gradually become a major player in the franch real estate sector. This success – a human one above all – is also the result of Nicolas Gagneux and his teams’ desire to be an active part of the life in Lyon, where the company was built, and their implication and support in local initiatives. The main ones are in the three following areas : healthcare by supporting research and innovating initiatives, sports for the values conveyed, and arts and music which are a common passion of all the professionnels of the group 6ème Sens Immobilier.

Healthcare, projects and individuals

6ème Sens Immobilier has participated in the development of the project launched by Fondation Idée. This foundation has opened a medical center within the Edouard Herriot hospital in Lyon, dedicated to epileptic children. The company also participates in other projects to support childrens’ education such as the DECLIC school, and contributes to charity associations such as L’enfant@l’hôpital.

6ème Sens Immobilier is currently involved in a new project : the creation of a high school, « collège Nescens », an educational facility adapted for teenagers suffering from intellectual and cognitive disorders. The founder of the Nescens college, Sebastien Duvanel, describes below this project which will be launched in September 2019 for approximately twenty students :

« As of today, there are special facilities for these children until the end of primary school, but nothing after. I have faced this issue as father of a mentally retarded child. I had the choice between two binary options : « medical educational institutes » (IME) which are solely focused on healthcare or regular college. There was no alternative for children who have learning skills but cannot follow up in a traditional college. »

« 6ème Sens Immobilier was immediately interested by our project and the group helped us by investing. It was a real boost to launch the project. Nicolas is a generous person and a self made man and yet, he remains humble and willing to help others. It is a real talent. I was extremely moved by his help, I find it quite exceptional. Moreover, 6ème Sens also participes in our development by increasing our visibility, whether to families in need or among concerned communities… This type of partnership will enable our college to become part of the national public educational system.
Sébastien Duvanel

Art and music : driven by passion

6ème Sens Immobilier is also very active in the sports area. The professionals of our company share the same values in their daily work as sports players : a constant desire to excel, a team spirit, a commitment and above all a performance. Thus, the group has become a major sponsor of clubs such as the LOU Rugby or the pilote Enzo Guibbert. Most of our partnerships have been initiated after meeting people, and are not limited to investments. This is the case for instance with the table tennis player Maxime Thomas, a three-time medal Paralympic champion (2008, 2012, 2016)

The first time I met Nicolas Gagneux was in 2016 at the Elysée where I received the medals of the National Order of Merit (Ordre National du Mérite) and the Legion of Honour (L égion d’honneur). I was invited as a medal winner of the Rio Olympic Games and the Secretary of State in charge of Sports at that time, Thierry Braillard, introduced us. I discovered a very dynamic person who wanted to support my sports challenge. I immediately liked the fact he was straightforward, natural, and his family spirit. There are no misleading or uncomfortable statements regarding disability. And I feel this positive energy again with all the team members at 6ème Sens who support me. Maxime Thomas Maxime Thomas is paraplegic since he was 15 ; he is a high level athlete since 2004. A three-time bronze medal winner at the last three Olympic Games, he is now aiming at winning the gold medal in Tokyo in 2020. 6ème Sens Immobilier does not limit its support to high-level international athletes or structures. The Group also finances local clubs : handball, biking, basketball, fencing, horseback riding… With the aim of assisting them and helping them to succeed. Thus a partnership has been established with the Masque de Fer fencing club, a Lyon-based historical club which relies on private sponsors, as explains below Olivier Prats, its Vice President.

In terms of sports, our club is doing well, our youth categories win quite a lot of titles, but we are struggling financially. Public subsidies are drastically dicreasing. We have been reaching out to private partners, and 6ème Sens agreed to support us. Thanks to them, we have been able last year to buy new equipments and recruit part-time a master of arms for the high level players. This is a significant help for us ; from a finance point of view we are still very tight. We have historical bonds with 6ème Sens and their wonderful teams who understand our needs if we want to continue to train future champions.

Regarding basketball, the real estate Group has decided to support the Lyonso Club. The project was aimed at bringing together five basketball teams from western Lyon to pool employees, infrastructures and even teams. With a precise goal : to become THE big club of the city, behind ASVEL. An ambitious project for which 6ème Sens Immobilier played a stratgic part, as explains William Masse, marketing manager :

We aim at having teams that play at the highest level as of the age of 13. Thus a player will be able in the future to pursue his entire young career at the Lyonso. Reagarding our elite team, we are at one leage from the professional level. Next year, we will target the next level. Currently, 30% of our budget is financed by public subsidies ; therefore we need the help of private companies and sponsors. I believe that Nicolas Gagneux immediately realized that this was achievable and he supported our project. Having 6ème Sens on board is a great asset to help us develop our network of partners. Two years ago we had 15 partners ; as of today we are close to fifty. William Masse

Art and music : driven by passion

This is the other main pillar of Lyon’s life that is strongly supported by 6ème Sens Immobilier ; committed to deliver projects, but also to promote art and music. This is reflected in the partnerships established with the Théâtre des Marronniers, the Orchestre de Chambre de Lyon and the Siècles Romantiques, as well as the Biennales de Lyon.

The Siècles Romantiques is a chorus of singers and an orchestra of musicians : edgy, ambitious, dedicated and passionate. They share the same values as 6ème Sens Immobilier. This group led by Jean-Philippe Dubor reflects a genuine desire to share and promote music to all.

Jean-Philippe Dubor tells us how he met Jean-Pierre Gagneux, Deputy CEO of the Group 6ème Sens Immobilier :

«  I was lucky to meet Jean-Pierre Gagneux in 2011, during the ceremony celebrating the 20th birthday of Les Siècles Romantiques. He knew us very well as he attended all of our concerts since years ! 6ème Sens Immobilier has become our biggest sponsor and has also introduced us to other companies which have since become our partners.

The support of 6ème Sens Immobilier and our relationship is above all a wonderful human experience.

« Jean-Pierre Gagneux is a true music lover ! He grew up with music. He always helped artists and embodies the philosophy of sponsoring. For 6ème Sens Immobilier : sharing and promoting art and music is key.
Jean-Philippe Dubor

As a lover of art and street art, 6ème Sens Immobilier has recently become one of the sponsors of the festival Peinture Fraîche. An event that took place for the first time between on May 3 to 12 at the Halle Debourg, in the 7th district. Jessica Desrieux, in charge of events at Le Petit Bulletin, is one of the festival planners. She tells us more about this project how it was initiated :

« With the Troi3 association, we had previously organized two street art festivals called Trublyon and located in the area of Croix-Rousse. Both have been very successful. Therefore we were aiming at launching a larger and longer project. We needed a location where many artists could express themselves and where the city could breath street art.
Jessica Desrieux

When approached by the art director, 6ème Sens Immobilier was immediately on board with this project. Beyond the desire to share this art stream with the population, the festival also partners with several schools located in the area of Gerland to initiate children and students to art. This is a key aspect for the Founder of 6ème Sens.

« Working with 6ème Sens is very pleasant. They thrive to help us and make things easy. For instance, the amount they grant us is not allocated to a precise task. We can use this allocation according to the needs of the festival. Up to now, it has enabled us to cover the expenses of the artists’ travels as well as the art program. We have a relaxed and friendly relationship. At 6ème Sens there is definitely a passion for street art and we truly appreciate their partnership with us.
